Vintage military vehicles at Gilbert fairgrounds

Military vehicles, many of World War 2 vintage, will be on display at the West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert this Friday and Saturday as the Red Ball Military Transport Club has its annual rally and swap meet.
The event, which will be held rain or shine, will be open both days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Along with vintage vehicles, there will be many militaria vendors. Visitors will also have a chance to ride in a military vehicle and view a cannon demonstration. A special feature this year will be the radio-equipped military vehicles.
Established in 1992, Red Ball Military Transport is an organization of individuals, including historians, vehicle preservationists and collectors, interested in collecting, restoring, displaying and enjoying antique historic military transport equipment, vehicles and mobile weaponry transport.
This is done in respect and recognition of our armed services men and women, past and present, who have defended our freedom and in tribute to the military transport that played a critical role in that defense.
