Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Gothard Realty office, Interchange Road, Lehighton. Board members who are unable to attend are asked to notify President Lisa Whitehead before the meeting.

Community members are encouraged to place used eyeglasses at any of the following Lehighton locations: Lehighton High Rise, First Street; Lehighton Library, South Street; PNC Bank, First Street; Jim Thorpe National Bank, Fourth Street; Mallard Market, Second Street; Lehighton Municipal Building, Second Street; Dr. Hawk Dental Office, South Third Street; Dr. Dematte Chiropractic, Interchange Road, Lehighton; Wells Fargo Bank, Interchange Road; PNC Bank, Route 443; and Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, 12th Street.

Lehighton Crime Watch

Crime Watch Presentations will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Lehighton Area High School.

The agenda will discuss accountability by Don Snyder of Accountable ID's.

The purpose is to discuss the identification process to account for all personnel during any given event.

On Oct. 23, the presenter will be Mike Williams to discuss the Lehighton Emergency Communications Plan.

The program will discuss affordable, easy to use, alternate forms of "off the grid" communications for citizens of Lehighton to reliably contact police, fire, and/or medical services in times of emergency.
