Tools stolen at Schuylkill site

A large quantity of tools were stolen from a site in Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville reported on the theft and also a burglary troopers are also probing.

The tool theft occurred at the Locust Ridge Wind Farm, located off SR339, in Mahanoy Township. The following tools were reported stolen by KT Power Inc., of Waddington, N.Y., owners of the wind mill farm: Hilti electric nail gun, Dewalt sawzall-cordless, Dewalt impact gun-cordless, Dewalt portable ban saw, Dewalt electric drill, toolbox containing miscellaneous wrenches and sockets, two Honda generators-2000 watt, Stihl 20-inch chain saw, Stihl gas drill, and block and tackle rope systems. Total estimated value was set at $4,000.

The theft occurred sometime between Sept. 13 and Monday, Sept. 17.

The burglary occurred at the residence of Melvelyn Henriquez, 21, of 12 N. Fifth St., Kelayres, Kline Township. Troopers said a key was used to gain entry to the home. Once inside the criminals went upstairs to a bedroom and lifted up the floor boards looking for some unknown items.

Removed from the home was a laptop computer, troopers said. Entry occurred sometime between Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 3 a.m.
