Schuylkill incident being probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident involving the theft of items and damages done to property. The incident occurred at 79 Mill Road, in Barry Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said unknown criminals entered the property and removed four old car batteries and two extension cords that were located outside the residence near a barn. They also cut the radiator hose on a 1983 Ford F150 truck parked nearby and also bent the grill on a 1977 Mack dump truck in the same area. Damages were estimated at $60 and the stolen items valued at $80.

Troopers said a potential suspect vehicle is a green or blue in color sedan, possibly a Buick which was seen in the area and occupied by a white male, with short dark colored hair. The incident occurred sometime between 1:50 and 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17. The property is owned by Thomas R. Klinger, 48, of Ashland.
