School bus vandalized

State police at Lehighton are investigating a criminal mischief incident in which a school bus was vandalized.

Troopers said a bus belonging to the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit was sprayed with black paint while parked at 238 Franklin St., in Weissport. The incident occurred sometime overnight of Sept. 9-10.

Troopers are also probing another black paint spraying incident that occurred at Nature Park, located along SR534, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Unknown criminals spray painted a portable toilet, picnic tables, and a wooden deck at that location. The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 31.
