Published September 13. 2012 05:02PM

The Summit Hill Heritage Center opens its fall lecture series on Friday, September 14th at 7 p.m. with a lecture by local author, spiritualist medium Michelle Gallagher who will be speaking on "The Dangers of Paranormal Investigation" at the Heritage Center at 1 W. Hazard Street in the hilltop community. Gallagher, a local author and the official medium of the Blue Mountain Paranormal Society, will discuss the current abundance of ghost hunting television shows and the pitfalls and troubles they create with those who take the subject of investigation too lightly.

"Paranormal phenomena and its investigation have side effects most people are not aware of when they participate in hunts for the thrills," said Gallagher. She is concerned the advancement of the idea of paranormal investigation as a hobby or a thrill without understanding the underlying issues can be hazardous to those who do not take it seriously.

The doors open for this lecture at 6:30 p.m. and Gallagher will be available for questions and answers after her presentation. For more information, contact David at (570) 657-0792.
