Theft of copper wire being probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of copper ground wire from a Schuylkill County location.

Troopers said about 12-feet of the wire was stolen from a substation located along Peach Mountain and Wade roads in Norwegian Township, sometime between Aug. 27 and Sept. 7. The wire is the property of Reading Anthracite, of Pottsville, troopers said.
