Athletes, family, coaches, and volunteers filled the Koch-Wildoner pavilion at Mauch Chunk Lake Park for the Annual Carbon County Special Olympics Family Picnic.

The aroma of hot dogs and hamburgers filled the air in the area as those present played lawn games, visited the beach, and enjoyed the food and refreshments.

Also filling the air, was music supplied compliments of DJ Dave Gasker of 4D Karaoke and DJ Service who donated his time and talent to the Special Olympics.

The athletes and their families also brought in a table-full of deserts of all kinds.

During the picnic Competition Coordinator Dave Rodrigues reviewed results from the recent state competition at Penn State.

The very-well attended event and all it had to offer was enjoyed by everyone who stopped by.
