Two teenagers were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 5:48 p.m. on SR339 in Union Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville said the two injured persons, both 17-year-olds from Shenandoah, were treated and released at the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville. Their identities were not revealed by police.

Police said a 17-year-old male was operating a 2011 Grand Cherokee southbound and failed to see an approaching 2012 Chevrolet 1500, operated by Paul W. Deebel, 75, of Ringtown, traveling into its lane and causing the collision. Both vehicles sustained severe front-end damaged and were towed from the scene.

Deeble was uninjured.

Police said the juvenile driver will be cited for causing the crash.
