October 26, 1974 Mike Clewell rushes for 162 yards and both Jim Thorpe touchdowns as the Olympians gain a 13-0 win over Pleasant Valley. Frank Flizack's blocked punt sets up the first Thorpe score - a two-yard TD run by Clewell. The Olympians, coached by Barry Hackenberg, add to the advantage early in the fourth quarter when Lynn Mann's interception leads to Clewell's four-yard tally. Thorpe also receives interceptions from Jim Albert and Barrae Meixsell to help preserve the shutout.
