A Carbon County club has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Lansford AMVETS Home Association Inc., 201-203 W. Ridge St., Lansford, was cited for selling alcoholic beverages on Sept. 5, after the catering club liquor license expired on Aug. 31 and had not been renewed and/or validated.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of license based on the severity of the charge brought.
