State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two vehicle crash about 11:41 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, along SR534 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Christine A. O'Brien, 24, of Albrightsville, was southbound operating a 2011 Kia Sportage, and approaching the intersection with Jonas Road. At this time Cheryl R. Jenkins, 49, of Easton, driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty, was crossing 534 onto Jonas Road.

Troopers said O'Brien's vehicle crashed into the left front of Jenkins' vehicle in the intersection.

Troopers said O'Brien was evaluated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel but did not require immediate medical attention while Jenkins refused medical treatment for a minor injury. Jenkins had two passengers who were not injured.

Troopers noted that Jenkins was cited.

Troopers probed a one vehicle crash about 12:05 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, along Flyte Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said John A. Henry, 27, of Saylorsburg, was westbound and negotiating a right curve in the road when he fell asleep at the wheel. His 1994 Chevrolet 1500 truck left the road and landed in a ditch and stream, then rolled onto the driver's side.

Henry was not injured. He was cited for careless driving, troopers said.
