Lansford police are investigating an arson that happened on Friday night.

Police were called to a fire, at 332 W. Patterson St., shortly after 10 p.m. The fire started on the side porch of the property. American Fire Co. #1 responded and quickly extinguished the flames. Damage was contained to the exterior of the property.

According to the White Pages online telephone directory, a woman named Ashley M. Neff lives in the house.

The neighboring house, at 330 W. Patterson St., suffered exterior damage as well. The residents of 330 and 332 W. Patterson St. were home at the time of the fire.

Ambulance personnel assisted on scene. One resident received a burn to her hand while attempting to extinguish the fire. A state police fire marshal determined the fire had been deliberately set.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (570) 645-5844.
