No one is hurt in Schuylkill crash

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Thomas J. Donlen Jr., 57, of Pottsville, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:25 a.m. Oct. 19 on Schuylkill Mountain Road in South Manheim Township.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Ford Transit Connect eastbound at approximately 40 m.p.h. when the vehicle began to swerve and fishtail while rounging a curve. The vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and proceeded to strike a grass embankment with its driver's side front end. After the initial impact, the vehicle spun counter-clockwise and then struck a grass embankment with its passenger side rear. The vehicle continued to spin and flipped onto its driver's side before coming to rest facing southeast in the westbound lane of travel.

Police said Donlen will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
