A three-year old boy was flown to the hospital via PennStar helicopter after falling from the bleachers during the fourth quarter of the Tamaqua and Panther Valley football game continuation Saturday night.

Dr. Peter Baddick, who was one of the first to treat the boy, said he fell, head first, about five feet from the lower bleachers.

Tamaqua police officers stated their appreciation to the spectators on and around the bleachers that cleared the area quickly. The condition of the boy was unknown as of press time today.
