A Tamaqua driver escaped injury in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 11:25 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, along Tumbling Run Road, a mile west of Mountain Road, in Blythe Township.

State police at Frackville said Bryanna Harvey, 23, was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Golf eastbound when she lost control. The car went onto the berm and hit a drainage ditch then hit several small trees head-on, where it came to rest.

The car sustained heavy damages, troopers said. Assisting troopers at the scene were volunteers from the Kaska Fire Company and fire police.
