Hundreds of Tamaqua Area School District kindergarteners at the Tamaqua, West Penn, and Rush Township schools are being photographed and fingerprinted in case they went missing.

The event is part of the local Police department's childrens fingerprinting drive and the Tamaqua Rotary Club's annual Kid Print.

Parents of kindergarteners will receive a still image, which also shows the height of their child to be used in case they went missing.

The Tamaqua Rotary Club works every year with the Tamaqua, Rush Township, and West Penn Township Police Departments to provide this service. Police officers from Tamaqua, West Penn and Rush Township fingerprinted each child as well.

For more information, parents can call the school.
