A Maryland driver and two juveniles were injured in a one vehicle crash about 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, along Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County. State police at Frackville said Adriane Johnson, 22, of Middletown, was driving a 2000 Saturn "S" southbound when she lost control when she swerved to avoid a deer that had entered the road in front of her. The vehicle slid off the road onto the left shoulder and collided with a dirt embankment. It then rolled onto its roof, coming to rest in the center median on its roof. Johnson and the two juvenile passengers, both in child safety seats, were all taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment. None of the injuries were considered serious.
