Jim Thorpe reunion committee shows its appreciation to Penn Forest Vol. Fire Co.

Al Sellers, chairman, second from right; and Melva McArdle, treasurer, far right; of the Jim Thorpe High School Reunion Classes 1955-1965, present a check in the amount of $600 to the Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. The group held its reunion at the Whispering Pines hall at the fire house last month. "The results of the reunion were overwhelming, the beauty, the service, everything was wonderful," said Sellers. "Everyone working on behalf of the fire company were volunteers. We were just so impressed that we decided to donate the money we raised that evening to the fire company. We have already decided that we will be back the last weekend of September 2017."
