Two burglaries at two Schuylkill County locations are being investigated by state police at Schuylkill Haven.

Troopers said the home of Tara Anne Smithmeyer, 39, and Pauline Clara Sadusky, 84, both of 301 Walnut St., Norwegian Township, was entered sometime between 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Removed from the home was about $1,350 in cash and medication consisting of about 50 clonazepam and six hydrocodone pills.

Troopers noted that the investigation is continuing and that there is an 18-year-old male suspect.

The second entry occurred at the White Pine Coal Company property in Reilly Township. A lock box on a steel entrance gate was broken to gain entry. The criminals damaged a Conex steel container by breaking a steel door. They also damaged a 4600 dragline. Damage was done to the door and removed was a silver S&K socket set in a green box.

The incident occurred sometime between Sunday, Oct. 14, at 6:15 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Monday.
