A Schuylkill County woman is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident at a county department store.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Brittany Zelinsky, 21, of Mahanoy City, was arrested on Oct. 9 about 5 p.m. at Boscov's Department Store in the Fairlane Village Mall, in Norwegian Township. Troopers said Zelinsky was observed by store personnel placing numerous clothing, jewelry, perfume/cologne items on her person and exiting the store without paying for them.

Troopers also are investigating another theft incident at the store.

Troopers said on Friday, Oct. 12, about 11:30 a.m. a unknown criminal entered the store and picked up a tester bottle of men's cologne, which retails for $84, and walked out of the store with it.
