Graduates from Air Force basic training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Christopher S. Zellner graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas on May 5.

Zellner completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Zellner earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Jeanette and William Zellner of Lehighton, and grandson of Frances Curran of Allentown.

A1C Zellner is a 2007 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. He graduated cum laude in May 2011 from Kutztown University with a bachelor of science in business administration.
