Many people in Mauch Chunk are asking to have a Halloween celebration on Oct. 31. The war is over and they desire a redemption of the traditional time of witches, spooks, and hobgobblins; an innocent but merry making celebration. Most feel that it is a fiting time to have a big celebration following the close of World War II, and now that most of the service men and women are home. Celebrations are to be held in various sections of the community.
