In observation of fire prevention week the fire fighters of the Lake Harmony District 17 put on quite a show Wednesday night. Using a donated old model Ford Bronco, the team simulated a rescue by neatly slicing the roof off the vehicle, after which they set it on fire.

The crowd was made up of many children and their parents, hailing mostly from Lake Harmony and Albrightsville. The children gave their full attention to Fire Chief Ralph Lennon during the demonstration. Afterward, the guests were treated to refreshments and were free to tour the facility and all of the fire fighting apparatus.
