Members and wrestlers with Elite Generation Wrestling (EGW) joined together with friends and family of Seth Valentine, 32, Tamaqua, to hold a benefit show over the weekend in the gymnasium of the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
Valentine recently came out of a coma following a motorcycle accident that occurred Aug. 25 on Route 248 in Bowmanstown. Valentine was in a coma at the St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Crest since the accident.
The event, which consisted of a candlelight vigil, prayer circle and a lot of food, was also held to help Valentine's family pay medical expenses. Kim Johnson, Seth's mother, and other family members stated that Valentine, who was in a coma, is improving a little every day and is currently going through facial reconstruction surgery.
Both the Frederick's family and Valentine family and close friends stated their appreciation to EGW and the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
