John Grogan, author of the international best-seller Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog will give a talk and sign books at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum at 1 p.m. Saturday.
"We are honored to have one of the best known authors in America in our museum," said Joseph Garrera, executive director of the museum.
Grogan will speak about both of his books. His first book, Marley & Me, became a major motion picture in 2008. It is the story of a family in the making and the dog who taught them what really matters in life.
His second New York Times best-seller, The Longest Trip Home, is a memoir of his childhood and growing up. With his trademark blend of humor and pathos, Grogan traces the universal journey each of us must take to find our unique place in the world.
The author will be available to sign books following the program.
Copies of Grogan's books will be available from the museum's gift shop on the day of the presentation. Admission is free to members. There is a charge for non-members.
The Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum is located at 432 W. Walnut St. in Allentown. For more information, contact Garrera at 484-553-2592 (cell) any time of day or at (610) 435-1074.
