Nesquehoning arrests reported

Nesquehoning police reported on the following traffic citations issued by officers recently.

Christopher Gogal, 52 Messina St., Nesquehoning, was cited for failure to give information and render aid after an accident that occurred in the New Columbus Fire Company parking lot on Oct. 1, at 10:24 p.m. There were no injuries and it was a non-reportable crash.

Retail theft charges were filed against John Cope, 260 E. Kline Ave., Lansford, on Oct. 3 at 1:32 p.m. for an incident at Redner's Warehouse Market. Cope was allegedly found in possession of store merchandise which he did not pay for.

Multiple charges were filed for a traffic incident that occurred on Sept. 22. Thomas Devitt, 22 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, was charged on Oct. 4 with driving without lights to avoid identification, one way roadways-going the wrong way, periods for requiring lighted head lamps, window tint, and careless driving.

Officers also issued the following traffic citations: passing in a no passing zone on state routes 209 and 93; careless driving in the unit block of W. Catawissa St.; limitations on turning around in the unit block of W. Catawissa St.; expired registration plate on SR209 in the area of the Wash Shanty Hill; and speeding, 55 miles-per-hour, in a 40 zone on state routes 209 and 93.
