3 accidents at the same time

Emergency personnel were called to three motor vehicle accidents along SR54 near the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The accidents, each separate from each other, occurred around the same time and about 300 feet from each other. The only injury reported was Stephen Lukach in the Jeep Liberty who suffered an injury to his head. Lukach was able to walk around. Rush Township Police closed SR54 due to slippery conditions. Also responding were Hometown Fire Company, Quakake Fire Company, Tamaqua Rescue, Ryan Township Rescue, Tamaqua Ambulance and Hometown Fire Police.
