Carbon driver in Lehigh crash

A Carbon County driver was injured when involved in a two vehicle crash in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said the accident occurred about 12:09 p.m. along Interstate 78 westbound in Lower Macugnie Township.

Troopers said Kyle A. Harmison, 25, of Orefield, driving a 2001 Acura MDX, in the left lane, and Dennis C. Hallman, 61, of Lehighton, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Prizm, was in the right lane.

Troopers said Harmison lost control of the Acura and struck the Prizm. After impact the Acura came to rest on the guide rail on the right shoulder and the Prizm came to rest in the on-ramp to SR309 facing southbound.

Hallman was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment. Harmison was not injured.

Troopers cited Harmison for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
