Food, toys collected for people in Sandy area

The Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company and First Northern Bank and Trust will be collecting new or slightly used unwrapped toys to give to the families directly affected by Hurricane Sandy. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 10.

In addition to toys, we will be accepting donations of diapers, cleaning supplies, hygiene products and canned goods. The items will be delivered to the Union Township, N.J., Police Department for its "Santa in Blue" Hurricane Sandy Toy Drive.

Drop off donations at the Aquashicola Fire Company or any branch of First Northern Bank and Trust.
