Local Dunkin' Donuts help raise funds for CMN at Geisinger
Through a regional "Miracle for Munchkinsî" in-store fundraiser, Dunkin' Donuts of Northeastern Pennsylvania announced it has raised and donated $10,500 to support Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger. It is Dunkin' Donuts' first year partnering with Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger, which is an organization that helps make miracles happen for pediatric patients throughout the region.
Dunkin' Donuts shops across Northeastern Pennsylvania hosted the daylong fundraising event, "Miracles for Munchkins," to raise money for Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger. On Oct. 31, over 50 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the region offered a free medium hot chocolate to customers who made a donation of $1 or more to support Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger. Local owners representing regional Dunkin' Donuts restaurants presented a check for $10,500 on WBRE's "Pa Live" on Friday, Nov. 16, an achievement that they attribute to the support and loyalty of their Dunkin' Donuts guests. The funds raised by this event will help provide pediatric equipment, programs and services at the Janet Weis Children's Hospital and throughout the Geisinger Health System."Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger is extremely excited for this new partnership, and we are grateful to Dunkin' Donuts for making this event possible," said Michael Ryan, DO, chairman of Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger. "The donations will go a long way in helping us serve the community in Northeastern Pennsylvania and make miracles happen for local children."
Supporting local communities is extremely important to Dunkin' Donuts and its franchisees. This donation aligns with The Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation's mission to serve the basic needs of our communities through food for the hungry, safety and children's health."On behalf of Dunkin' Donuts and our local franchisees across Northeastern Pennsylvania, we're thrilled to support Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger," said Jessica Weissman, field marketing manager, Dunkin' Donuts.
