Carbon woman jailed in stabbing incident

A Carbon County woman was jailed on Friday after a stabbing incident, which was the result of a domestic dispute.

State police at Lehighton said about 10:24 p.m. troopers were called to 1361 E. Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, in East Penn Township, for a domestic dispute. After further investigation troopers said Kristy Ann Jones, 23, was taken into custody for stabbing Michael Paul Wallace, 29, in the face during a dispute. Both Jones and Wallace were transported to the Palmerton hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident.

Jones was then arraigned on aggravated assault and related counts and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning in lieu of $75,000 bail.
