Tamaqua teachers play Harlem Wizards

Tamaqua Area School District teachers and staff played to impress during a comedy-themed basketball game held Tuesday night against the famous Harlem Wizards.

Organizers Pam Dumond, West Penn PTO, and Rose Marie Noftz, Tamaqua PTO, stated their appreciation to the volunteers, players, teachers, students and school board for making the event a success.

"This was a wonderful opportunity for our PTO to raise some money, while providing our students and their families with a night of fun entertainment," said Jolene Barron, the scorekeeper for the night. "The PTOs put a great deal of hard work putting this all together. We all had a blast!"
