Hit and run driver being sought

Pocono Mountain Regional police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck a telephone pole, knocking it down, then fleeing the scene.

Police said about 7:38 p.m. on Nov. 9 officers responded to Locust Ridge Road, near Slutter Road, to a report of a pole on the road. Upon arrival police found a telephone pole snapped in half and wires blocking the roadway.

Police were told from witnesses that a young white male operating a white sedan hit the pole then fled the scene towards Arrow Head Lakes. Police were assisted at the scene by Tobyhanna Fire Company volunteers and employees of PennDOT and Blue Ridge Cable Company.
