Schuylkill theft incident probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft incident at a Schuylkill County site.

Troopers said unknown criminals removed about $50 worth of items from the backyard of Clarence L. Herman, 75, of 1627 E. Grand Ave., Porter Township, sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 11 a.m. on Nov. 9.

The items were placed in the yard to be scrapped, troopers said. The items taken included a eight-foot piece of pipe, two aluminum folding chairs, an aluminum chair, a 40-pound piece of metal, and three pieces of spouting ranging in size from four to 16 feet long.
