Two Lehigh County drivers are facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI) following two separate incidents over the past weekend.
State police at Fogelsville said Toby A. Burns, 38, of New Tripoli, was contacted for an interview regarding another investigation. Burns was observed driving a vehicle and while being interviewed showed signs of intoxication. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending blood test results. The incident occurred about 1:18 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, troopers said.Vincenzo Vitale, 28, of Mayfair Court, Breinigsville, was stopped for speeding about 2:22 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, along SR22 westbound at SR309 in South Whitehall Township.He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI. The DUI charge is pending blood test results.
