Tamaqua Cabaret Show to benefit teacher in coma
The Tamaqua Area High School is having their annual cabaret show presented by the school's Drama Club. However, they're doing something a little different this year. Their director, Janet Paisley Smoldon, was recently in a head-on car crash in West Penn Township and is in stable but critical condition.
"The show will be focused not only on the students of Tamaqua but also on hoping Janet has a speedy and full recovery," said student Erica Cassell. "Please come out and not only support the Tamaqua Drama Club - but also our wonderful director Janet!"
The show, titled "Dreams For Janet," is being held at the Tamaqua Area School District auditorium today starting at 7 p.m.
