Cub Pack 41 collecting donations for Hurricane Sandy victims

Published November 08. 2012 05:02PM

When Hurricane Sandy left many families homeless and devastated in her wake, whole communities lost everything in New Jersey and New York.

Cub Pack 41 of Palmerton felt compelled to do what they could to offer help. So they are organizing a relief effort. They are accepting donations of clothing, coats, nonperishable food, kids' clothes, toys, bottled water, batteries, diapers, baby wipes, blankets and any other items that could be used by families.

The items can be dropped off at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 502 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton during the hours of Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 8-11 a.m.

If you need more information, or would like to drop off items outside of those times, please call Eric Reif at 570-239-2202.

All donations will be delivered by truck to a disaster zone in Union Beach, NJ on Saturday, Nov. 10.
