Twenty-three area residents among those arraigned

Twenty-three area residents were among those who were arraigned Monday on criminal charges before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon at the Schuylkill County courthouse. All pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial.

Rocci A. Schuima, 34, of 248 Brown St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig with possession of drug parphernalia after being found unconscious at his home from an alleged overdose of heroin.Amanda Lillian Ramirez, 23, of 307 Arlington St., Tamaqua charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Anthony Stanell with simple assault on Anna Funk at her residence.Jonathan Heffelfinger, 21, of 116 Washington St., Tamaqua, charged by Stanell with receiving stolen property from the home of Jeffrey Smulligan, 78 Hunter St.Brett Anthony Rehrig, 21, of 116 Wshignton St., charged with the same incident as Heffelfinger.James Scott Nahf, 46, of 123 First St., Coaldale, charged by Coaldale Patrolman Scott Cramer with theft of $20 cash from the home of Linda Adamitis, 23 W. Broad St., rear, Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig with aggravated assault on April Stevens outside the Tiki Bar, possession of instruments of crime (screw driver), two counts each of simple assault and harassment, and recklessly endangering another person.Robert Wayne Gray, 123 Pine St., Apt. 4, Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs with concealment of whereabouts of a child and corruption of minors.Tiffany A. Bodnar, 36, of 141 E. Adams St., McAdoo, charged by Kline Township Chief John Petrilla with criminal conspiracy-retail theft from Boyer's Market where she was employed. Also, theft by deception and receiving stolen property. She failed to ring up $672.39 in tmes while working at a cash register, police allege.Kaitlyn C.
