Got to move those refrigerators?

How about those microwave ovens?

If so, then Northern Lehigh High School is the drop-off destination when it hosts an electronics recycling event this weekend.

The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday in the school parking lot.

Items accepted include microwaves, phones, stereos, computers, printers, TVs and gaming systems.

A small fee will be charged for items such as car batteries, freezers, and refrigerators.

For information and a complete list of what is accepted, call (484) 641-5656.

Community Showers

Due to the current power outage, the school district has opened its field house for community members to come take showers, charge their cell phones and fill water jugs if needed.

The facility opened Thursday, and remains accessible today from noon to 5 p.m., and on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those who use the facility are urged to bring their bathroom supplies and towels with them.
