Tamaqua Salvation Army now serving as live-in shelter

The Tamaqua Salvation Army is now serving as a live-in shelter for people without power. People are encouraged to bring a blanket, pillow and basic living supplies. Meals will also be provided. The center, located at 105 West Broad Street, will remain open all night. Residents are encouraged to get out of the cold and come sleep in the center. Volunteers are also needed.
