Liquor board cites Carbon business

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited a Carbon County business.

Gina Properties, trading as Lizard Creek Tavern, 1424 W. Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, East Penn Township, was cited for fortified, adulterated and/or contaminated liquor. The violation occurred on April 28, the liquor board charged.

This offense will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalites ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of license based on the severity of the charge brought.
