The H.D. Buehler Memorial Pool at Tamaqua's Bungalow Park was overrun with surface water, debris and mud during Saturday's flash flooding, resulting in a murky and debris-filled pool. Prior to Saturday's flash flooding, borough workers had the pool sparkling blue and ready for opening day of the season, June 2nd. This week, borough workers are planning on redraining, recleaning and refilling the pool. Rob Jones, Public Works Director, said, "Despite this large setback, we still hope to have the pool open for the season this Saturday, June 2nd."
