A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for a violation of the state liquor code.

J.D. Citro's Inc., 328 S. Second St., Lehighton, was cited for a violation on Jan. 22 in which liquor was sold, furnished or gave liquor for consumption off premises.

The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
