Pleasant Valley High School Sophomore Michelle Cotumaccio, center, a member of her Monroe Carrer and Technical Institute (MCTI) team, won the first place trophy in an international competition recently in Orlando, FL, from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute International Lodging Management Program. They achieved honors in hotel operations by defeating 11 other teams, including teams from Guam and Hawaii. The three-day event at the Rosen Shingle-Creek Resort challenged students to real life work experiences in a hotel.
