Published May 17. 2012 05:01PM

A Carbon County woman was jailed in Schuylkill County on various drug counts.

Deanna Semanoff, 23, of 160 S. Fifth St., Lehighton, was arrested by Shenandoah police and members of the county's drug task force on May 1 for selling crack cocaine in the borough to a confidential informant (CI). Arrested with her was a 16-year-old male from Allentown.

She and the teen were charged with selling 10 bags of crack cocaine to the CI in the 600 block of W. Centre St.

She was arraigned before on-call District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, of Tamaqua, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, delivery, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal conspiracy. She was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $25,000 straight cash bail.

The juvenile was turned over to the county's juvenile probation office and is facing the same charges as Semanoff.
