A Mahoning Township man is facing charges following an incident which occurred on May 12.

Township police said Terry Williams, of 610 N. First St., Lehighton, has been charged with simple assault and harassment.

He was arraigned on the charges before District Judge Edward M. Lewis of Jim Thorpe. Lewis placed bail at $20,000, 10 percent. Unable to post bail, Williams was incarcerated in the Carbon County Prison.

The charges stem from an incident in which police investigated a 911 hang up call at Williams' residence.

Police said that on arrival the female resident of the listed address was found bleeding from the face. As a result of the investigation, Williams was charged.
