Stauffer awarded American Legion Award

Michael Stauffer, a member of the Royal Warrior ROTC Battalion program held at the University of Scranton was awarded the American Legion Award for Scholastics during the U.S. Army ROTC Awards Ceremony held April 26 at the university.

The award was presented by MSG(R) Joseph Sylvester.The Scholastic Award was given in recognition for his 4.0 GPA in Military Sciences and a 3.5 in his major.Michael is a sophomore at Marywood University, Scranton, studying Architecture.He is the son of Elmer and Ann Marie Stauffer of Railroad Street.Grandparents are Sam and Jennie Citrano, formerly of Nesquehoning and Clifford and Floretta Stauffer of Weatherly.
