CART fills new shed with pet supplies
AMY MILLER/TIMES NEWS
Members of the Carbon County Animal Response Team recently began filling their new shed, housed at the Carbon County EMA building in Nesquehoning, with some donated pet supplies, such as cages.
The preparation work for placing the shed, which was purchased by the group, was completed by Pencor Services, which donated time and manpower; Nesquehoning Mayor Tony Walck, who helped secure permits; and Mel Bach, who did the research and ordered the shed.
Volunteers were thrilled to be able to fill it with donations of dog cages by the state; as well as other supplies they received from area residents since the group formed.
The Carbon CART team will meet at the EMA building, 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning, at 7 p.m., on June 11.
Volunteers who would like to help animals in emergency situations are welcome. To donate to CART or for more information, email email@example.com.
