Slatington Woman's Club names Girl of the Month for April

Kirsten Leskowich, a senior at Northern Lehigh Area High School has been named the Slatington Woman's Club's Girl of the Month for April.
She plays varsity soccer, is president of Interact, president of the class of 2012, a member of National Honor Society, a choir (soprano singer) and band member (plays the trumpet), a member of the women's choir ensemble called Treble Makers, coeditor for the Slate newspaper, a member of the scholastic scrimmage team, the NL Little Theater stage crew, Library club, and of the class video committee.
She received the Senator's citizenship award twice and the President's award for academic achievement twice. She has always made the principal's list/high honor roll, and was recently invited into the All-Pro team at NL. She ws the speech contest winner for Rotary.
She likes to hunt, fish, shoot archery, and be outdoors with her father. She enjoys running and exercising with her mother. She enjoys scrapbooking and preserving her memories just as much as she enjoys making them.
"Creativity is a big part of me and I love when I get to express myself through art. Swimming consumes most of my summer, as does spending most of my days with my grandmother, Jackie," she says.
She hopes to attend Lehigh University and major in chemical engineering and wants to earn a master's degree. She wants to express herself through chemistry and manufacture drugs or chemicals that will benefit society and humankind.
She is the daughter of Lisa and Brian Leskowich of Walnutport, and is the granddaughter of Jackie Leskowich and Veronica Pahula and the late George Pahula and Roger Leskowich.
